About Us

FSRL was founded in 2020 when Brian Grubb and Billy Bosch teamed up to put on the first professional foil competition in the US. They both saw the rapid growth in foiling and wanted to provide an arena for the best in the world to compete and test their skills. The first events were the surf race format. No judges, just pure racing. Catch a wave, get up on foil and make it through the course the fastest. As the FSRL and foiling grew, in year 3 they added the Expression Session. This format showcases the newest and most progressive tricks being done on foil. The FSRL has grown from 20 riders in year one to 90 competitors in 2025.

In 2025 we partnered with Foiling Week in Pensacola, FL to do some foiling racing at their event. When the waves didn’t show up FSRL debuted their new 1v1 Racing format. This is head to head racing towed up by a PWC that can be run in flat water conditions. This format is super competitive and opens the door to more riders and aren’t proficient at prone foiling in the waves. We are excited to bring this exciting format to AWSI to watch the top athletes from all the brands show off their skills!

FSRL also produced the wake foil competition at Atlanta Foil Fest and is continuing to grow its Categories!
